Nursery News
A big thank you for the Christmas cards and gifts we received, we hope you all had a lovely Christmas and you had fun in the January snow.
We will be collecting Tesco & Sainsbury’s vouchers when they start handing them out again this year.
We are struggling to match items of clothing back to the correct owners – especially when we have numerous identical coats or pairs of shoes!! Please put children’s names in their clothing, in particular hats, coats, jumpers, shoes, wellies & comforters.
Fact File
NHS Integrated Therapy Service have developed a ‘Fact File’ of guidance sheets to support parents with specific areas of children’s development, e.g. “Coping with lumps in food”, “ Helping a child to develop their balance” or “Dressing skills”. If you do have any concerns or need any additional help please speak to your child’s key person.
Progress Check at 2 years old
At Tree House we have introduced a review of childrens development at 2 years old. This individual progress check will focus on the three Prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which are Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development and Communication and Language. Your child’s key person will share this with you, you are welcome to make a comment on the review. You will be given a copy for yourself, and a copy which you are encouraged to share with your Health Visitor or other Health Care professionals.
Pyjama Day
The Pyjama Day was a great fun. We raised £40 for Wish Em Well childrens charity, thank you for the donations. It is not too late to donate if you still wish to.
Tree House Summer Fete
This year we are planning to hold a Summer Fete on Saturday 6th July. If you would like to book a table to sale craft items speak to a member of staff ( £10 per table and raffle prize donation).
Nappies
If your child has run out of nappies and we need to use a spare Nursery nappy there will now be a charge of 50p per nappy.
It is really helpful if your child’s bag is well stocked with spare clothes, socks and pants. We do have some spare clothing at Nursery for emergencies.
New Parents/Carers
Welcome to all our new children and parents/carers. We hope your child settles well at Tree House. Please remember our open door policy at Nursery. Our members of staff are happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
We use a ‘previous accident/incident form’, this ensures that we are working in line with current child protection guidelines. So if your child has occurred a serious burn, bruises etc whilst under your care – Please notify a member of staff and then we will make a record of this incident. If a member of staff notices a major injury they will record it and ask for your assistance with this.
