What hours are you open?
Our nursery is open from 7.30am – 5.30pm for 52 weeks of the year. We close on bank holidays, one week at the end of august and one week over the Christmas period. You will not be charged for these days.
What is the latest pick up time?
Our doors close at 5.30pm. If you wish to speak to a member of the team and find out how your child’s day has been, we kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes beforehand. If you’re going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible as we will need to arrange for two members of staff to stay behind. There will be a fee to pay as set out in our policies.
How many days does my child have to attend?
The minimum attendance required by Tree House are two sessions per week. This is for the benefit of your child.
Do I have to pay for my child’s ‘settling in’ sessions?
There is no charge for ‘settling in’ hours i.e 1-2 hours building up to full sessions. Please take as long as you need to be satisfied your child is ready to start their full sessions.
Do I have to pay if i take my child on holiday or if my child is sick?
Yes, every booked session has to be paid for in full even if the child is on holiday or sick
How do I pay my fees?
Fees are paid in advance at the beginning of every month. You will receive an invoice via email which can be paid via bank transfer or through voucher schemes. A £50 deposit is payable upon registration, refundable against first monthly fees.
Can I change my days/sessions once my child starts nursery?
Yes. We do ask for one months notice, but as long as the change can be accommodated we will support it.
How do I know my child is safe and secure?
Your child’s safety is paramount to us and our premises are all secure and checked each day. Only staff members are allowed access inside of the premises. Any visitors to the setting must be checked in, and accompanied by a member of staff. Through our Safer Recruitment procedure, our staff are all DBS checked and no member is left unattended until they have completed our strict induction program.
What food do you provide at nursery?
All meals are prepared and provided fresh every day and included within our fees. Our chefs are passionate to make healthy food and provide well-balanced options for the children. We cater for special dietary requirements and support babies’ individual needs through the weaning process. Fresh drinking water is available at all times for all the children.
Do you supply nappies and wipes?
We ask that you provide nappies for your child. We supply wipes unless you require something specific.
What does my child need to bring to nursery?
Your child should bring in a labelled drawstring bag with a full change of clothes suitable for the time of year. Sun hat’s are required in the summer months, wellies/waterproofs for the autumn/winter months.
Do you supply sun cream?
Yes. You can pay £2 for our sun cream which lasts for the summer period. We use Nivea factor 50 and apply this in the afternoon. We ask that you apply sun cream to your child in the morning before they attend nursery.
Can my child bring in any personal belongings?
It can be a worrying time for children to start nursery so we understand that a comforter from home could help with the transition. We do discourage other toys once they are settled in case they get lost or damaged. The nursery cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to toys, books etc. brought in from home.
